Carmen de la Guerra´s gallery inagurated the space in Madrid in September 1997 with two main objetives:
Our interest is based in the newest tendences and emergent art proposals, and we´ve selected the most suitables ones to our work line, always focused in our own research proceses.
We are also aware that the end of this century demands a new way of emergent art colleting, risky, but not only seem as an inversion as a belief in art itself.
Our gallery politics is focused in this line of work and we believe in common projects between proffesionals to ensure that the art collecting in Spain begins to become a reality.
Our schedule focuses on combining exhibitions of international artists original work recently introduced in the Spanish market, alongside with projects of emerging art and new trends in support young artists. Likewise with a major collection of graphic works and paper works by various collaborating artists.
We´ve done both individual and group exhibitions of plastic arts and visual arts or image. Our Gallery is dynamic, different and has great success between the young audience surprisly increasing significantly each month, becoming a meeting place for young designers.

L´Issue Galerie is a space of independent expression and production, specialized in the fields of Urban Arts, Graphic Arts, and Illustration.
The gallery aims to be before all a place of social encounters, where the artists and the audience can exchange. Its philosophy sharply differs from classic galleries. More than a showroom, our environment is open to a mutltiplicity of creative ways of expression.
From its surface area, roughly 200m², the Gallery has different exhibition spaces. We generally couple two exhibitions, with a space in the middle where these two meet up and where the artists are invited to collaborate.
We offer for each exhibition a week-long residency, where the artist is invited to create his own universe on the walls as a setting for his exhibition. These residencies are opened to the public, and allow as a result to present the technics of artistic creation of each artist.
Each exhibition last approximately 6 weeks.
If possible, the invited artist offers different kids' workshops. These workshops are free.
We favour dense exhibitions, visually and graphically loaded, ruling out the simple hanging of paintings on a white wall. We invite the public to totally immerse oneself in a graphic universe and to appreciate the artistic work as a whole.
